About the Apostolic Visitation

The Apostolic Visitation of the Syro-Malabar Church in Europe was established by the Holy See to provide organized pastoral care, ecclesial coordination, and spiritual leadership for Syro-Malabar faithful living across Europe
Responding to the growing migration of families, youth, and clergy, the Visitation safeguards the East Syriac liturgical tradition, strengthens unity with the Universal Church, and ensures that the spiritual and pastoral needs of the faithful are addressed in collaboration with local dioceses.
The Apostolic Visitation serves as a bridge between the Syro-Malabar Major Archiepiscopal Church and the diverse European ecclesial context, fostering communion, continuity, and mission.

To nurture a faith-filled, united, and vibrant Syro-Malabar community in Europe, rooted in the apostolic tradition of St. Thomas and faithfully living the Gospel within diverse cultures.

To provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to Syro-Malabar faithful across Europe
To preserve and promote the East Syriac liturgical, spiritual, and ecclesial heritage
To strengthen unity and collaboration with local Latin Ordinaries and dioceses
To accompany migrant families, youth, and children in their faith journey
To coordinate clergy and pastoral initiatives for effective evangelization
